Join the Gunnison Public Lands Initiative and High Country Conservation Advocates, on a free, guided hike to Castle Creek on September 24th to celebrate National Public Lands Day!
Starting at the Swampy Pass trailhead, we’ll hike the Swampy Pass Trail to the Little Pass Creek Trail before turning around. The trip will be about 7 miles round trip with 500’ elevation gain. The hike is relatively flat, meandering through aspen forest, meadows, and creeks. This area traverses the largest aspen forest in the world and should be a great hike to catch the vibrant gold colors of fall! We'll have an incredible view of The Castles at Little Pass Creek.
Please come prepared with water, lunch, snacks, sunscreen, insect repellant and any other materials you will need to enjoy a full day hiking.
We will meet at the 4-Way stop in Crested Butte at 8:00 am to carpool to the trailhead. For more information please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call (970) 390-6689.
