On this hike with the Gunnison Public Lands Initiative, we’ll encounter meadows filled with classic Colorado wildflowers, the largest aspen forest in the world, and one of Crested Butte’s most beautiful high alpine lakes. The Beckwith Pass trail traverses a section of land that the Gunnison Public Lands Initiative has proposed for the permanent protection of water, wildlife, and recreation.
GPLI will talk about what it will take to protect this special place and what you can do to help. This hike offers relatively flat hiking, and one of the most spectacular vantage points for many of the iconic peaks along Kebler Pass. Kids 12+.
