Homegrown Conservation: A night of film and discussion

  • Old Rock Library 504 Maroon Avenue Crested Butte, CO, 81224 United States (map)

Want to be reminded why Gunnison County's wildlands are so incredible? Interested in how communities can work together to discuss the future of the wild places that matter to them?

Join the Gunnison Public Lands Initiative for a FREE night of film and discussion on community-driven public lands protection. GPLI will screen two short documentaries on public lands. The first features Gunnison County locals talking about their connection to our landscape and the second shows a similar community in Montana grappling with how to work together to protect their backyard. A short panel discussion with local stakeholders who have been working to develop a shared vision for the future of public lands in Gunnison County will follow the films.

Screening of "Common Ground" and "This American Lands: Gunnison Country." Panel discussion of local public lands stakeholders following. Light snacks.
